As we say hello to a gorgeous sunny week here in London, i’d like to say bye-bye to one of my beauty favourites.
We’ve all been through it, you know, that moment when you arrive at the beauty counter asking for a new fix of your favourite foundation – or moisturiser, mascara, whatever it might be – thinking blissfully to yourself “I’ll be out of here before I can say Bobbi Brown, then I can head home and replace that empty, beloved jar snuggled up inside my make-up bag” (or something like that).
Then this happens:
I’m sorry, it’s been discontinued.
Hurts doesn’t it?
So on that note, I want to take a moment to say adieu to one of my all-time favourites: Bobbi Brown’s Extra Repair Foundation, which has now been discontinued in the UK. Its plush consistency, the quenching sensation it gave upon touching my skin, its deliciously refreshing scent and that gorgeous dewy glow it gave me (a girl who’s questioned many times whether such a complexion was ever really achievable without being naturally blessed) – I can’t even bring myself to throw away the jar. If only I could get just one last application…
But no, it’s time for me to move on. I’ll be ok, but thanks for hearing me out.
